When Jigoro Kano founded Judo in 1882, he set as goals of Judo training the following three categories: physical education, self-defense training, and moral development.

At Judo America, we pride ourselves on developing not only physical, mental and self-defense skills in our students, but also leadership skills that will empower them at school and at work. These are our core values and leadership traits that will be taught through Judo training.  Our goal is to develop better citizens by equipping them with necessary skills to be leaders in our communities.
