You might naturally associate martial arts with hollywood stunts and kicks and punches, but the self-defense aspect of martial arts is just part of it. Children that learn martial arts develop the confidence to know that if they are ever bullied, they have the skills they need to defend themselves. However, the real skill we teach is diffusing situations with words before they ever escalate to a physical level.
Judo America offers a family oriented environment. We encourage parents to get involved with their kids. Most of our coaches have children in our program. Some started Judo only after enrolling their child. Pool parties, BBQs, and our Halloween party are some of the family events we host

When Jigoro Kano founded Judo in 1882, he set as goals of Judo training the following three categories: physical education, self-defense training, and moral development.
At Judo America, we pride ourselves on developing not only physical, mental and self-defense skills in our students, but also leadership skills that will empower them at school and at work. These are our core values and leadership traits that will be taught through Judo training.
